For South African schools

Stop typing registers twice

Teachers mark morning register and each lesson by tapping learner wristbands on their phone. Admins see who is in class on the web dashboard. Export to SA-SAMS when you are ready.

  • SA-SAMS, ADAM, Synergy CSV
  • Every lesson, not just the gate
  • Works offline on the teacher phone

How it works

Admin sets up the school once in the browser. After that, teachers tap bands at the classroom door.

  1. Import your lists Upload learners, staff, and timetables from d6, Edupac, ADAM, Synergy, or Excel.
  2. Teachers tap at the door Each learner taps their band on the teacher's phone. Morning register and every period. No gate scanners needed.
  3. Export when you need to Live dashboard for the office, emails to parents, and SA-SAMS files from the admin portal.

Late and bunking

Parents get emailed if a kid skips class

When the first learner taps in for a lesson, a timer starts. If someone was at morning register but never taps into that period, the parent gets a late email. If they still do not show, they get a bunking email. The office sees it on the dashboard straight away.

  • First tap Timer starts for that class.
  • Late email Sent if the learner has not tapped in yet.
  • Bunking email Sent if they still have not signed in. Shows on the admin dashboard.

You buy wristbands separately. Standard NTAG215 silicone bands cost about R16 each from local suppliers. They last years. If one is lost, unlink it in the portal and assign a new one on the teacher app.

Questions schools ask

Is this only for the school gate?
No. Teachers take register per lesson at the classroom door. Morning register and each period. That matches what SA-SAMS expects. You do not need turnstiles or wall scanners.
Where do we get wristbands?
Any NTAG215 silicone band works. Buy in bulk from a local supplier (about R16 each). Teachers assign bands in the app. The office unlinks lost ones under Directory → Wristbands.
What if a learner forgets their band?
The teacher taps the learner's name to mark them present. The band stays linked to that child. If someone finds a band in the playground, use Whose band? on the Assign tab to see who it belongs to.
Do you do setup visits or training?
No. Everything is in the setup guide: import your CSVs, invite teachers, assign bands, and start scanning.
